Schengen 90/180 calculator

Add your past and planned trips. We count every day inside the Schengen area over the rolling 180-day window and tell you how many days you have left and the latest date you must leave.

Your trips

Does the 90/180 rule apply to my passport?

You need a Schengen visa; the days allowed are printed on it (the 90/180 limit still caps multiple-entry visas).

    The 29 Schengen countries

    • · Days on a national long-stay visa or residence permit of a Schengen country don't count toward the 90.
    • · Ireland and Cyprus are in the EU but not in Schengen and keep their own rules.
    • · Border checks now record entries and exits electronically (EES), so overstays are detected automatically.
    • · This tool is a guide. Confirm with the embassy or border authority before you travel.

    FAQ

How is the 180-day period counted?

It is a rolling window: for any day, look back 180 days including that day. On every day of your stay, the days inside Schengen in that window must be 90 or fewer.

Do entry and exit days count?

Yes. Arriving at 23:00 or leaving at 01:00 still counts as a full day.

Does leaving Schengen reset the 90 days?

No. Leaving pauses the count, but days only drop off once they're more than 180 days in the past.

Do the 29 countries have separate limits?

No. All Schengen countries share one 90-day allowance.
